Let us start with the various points.

1. Meals: In general the meals arranged (lunches and a few dinners) were of a very good quality and plentiful. We seldom managed to eat all the food that was served.

2. Guides: The guides knowledge of the English language was very good. They were all very knowledgeable about their city and the various sites we visited. Not only that but they took great care of us from the moment they met us on arrival in the airport until departure. They were with us every moment of the day and kept us well informed of all that was of interest and tried to assist in any possible way. Most of them were very likeable persons and it was great to be in their company. They were not just robots but persons one could discuss all kinds of subjects with. We felt very comfortable with the guides and considered them as friends by the time we had to leave for the next city.

- Linda in Beijing. She was a very nice and likeable person and we got on with her very well. When we had to leave Beijing we almost felt sorry for losing a close friend.
- Lily in Xian. She was also very nice and a lovely gentle personality.
- Oliver in Shanghai. A calm and very friendly person. A pleasure to talk with.

As to the specific items:

1) All the guides were assertive in offering relevant knowledge about the sites we visited (and often more than that). If we had any questions left they never remained unanswered.
2) All the guides had a thorough knowledge of the English language and at no time did we have any communication problems.
3) All the guides had an admirable knowledge of their city and sites we visited.

3. Drivers & Cars: The service attitude of all the drivers was excellent. In general they were also very good and safe drivers considering the often very busy roads and chaotic traffic. The most courteous of all the drivers was the one in Beijing. All the cars were kept clean. The car in Xian was the best of all: brand new and spacious and very comfortable. The car in Shanghai was noisy and I believe the shock absorbers need to be replaced.

4. Hotels: The hotels were generally of a very good standard. Hotel service and room hygiene was satisfactory. Breakfast was good. Before coming to China we were warned that the beds in the hotels are often very hard but we had no problems all beds with just one exception were comfortable.

Overall, EXCELLENT tour. PERFECT organization.

Bonnie created a wonderful itinerary for our one week private tour of China in September 2019. Corresponding by email with my brother-in-law, Bonnie offered suggestions and alternatives based on our interest in photography, and getting off the beaten path, yet fitting in the major must-see venues. The six of us (me, my wife, my sister, brother-in-law, and another couple) thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and a diverse representation of modern Chinese people. The spoke candidly about life in China, and even a little (but very little) politics. Overall this was definitely a 5-start experience.

I just returned from a whirlwind 8 days in Shangnai, Xi'an, and Beijing, and I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of this tour company! As a woman traveling alone who doesn't speak Chinese, it was wonderful to know that I had someone looking out for me at each of my stops, plus someone to answer my every question and see to all of my special requests. I was also very pleased with the little extra touches, such as phone calls from my tour organizers Sam and Bonnie, to ensure that everything was going well and that I had no concerns. My guides and drivers were all A+, and when it came time to say goodbye to China, I felt as though I had said goodbye to six good friends. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!

Our group of 6 enjoyed a great, full day tour of Shanghai highlights. China private tour was very responsive to our queries and needs. Our guide was Autumn, who happily shared her extensive knowledge of local culture and history with us. The tour pacing was great. She brought us to a fantastic local dumpling restaurant. We enjoyed the tea ceremony and learning about tea culture. Overall, we highly recommend this tour.

China Private Tour is a great way to explore China. All the staff are very knowledgable and they help you with every aspect of the tour. Efficient use of time with a relaxed attitude. Plenty of imperial experience of history with just enough urban bustle and shopping.

Overall our China travel is very good. The hotel in Beijing (Holiday Inn Central Plaza) is excellent! It will be hard for the next hotels to live up to those standards. Our guide Lily was excellent. She made the trip very easy and very special for us. She went far beyond her responsibilities and even bought a present and a cake for my stepmother's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed her. Our driver was excellent as well. He was always early and made good suggestions in heavy traffic. He was very friendly, very happy and spoke some English very funny. I'd highly recommend both of them to my friends.

Xian is a wonderful city full of history. It is just amazing. The Terra-cotta Warriors was an amazing experience. I would recommend that all people travelling to China visit Xian. Our guide Lily was amazing! She was so knowledgable. She helped us find a beautiful local painting to bring home. She was very flexible with our schedule and allowed us plenty of time to see everything on our agenda, plus some extra sites. She was very kind and made sure we enjoyed our trip.

Our entire China trip was wonderful. Our guide in Shanghai was also very knowledagable and agreeable and made our stay in Shanghai very special. We will recommend China Private Tour to our friends.

We were offered 2 bottles of water per person per day all through the tour as promised.

All meals were fantastic. I would recommend the show/dinner at Xian and Peking duck dinner in Beijing to friends and family.

Both guides in Beijing and Xian were hard working, very knowledgable and very good at English.

Both cars were really clean and both drivers were very professional and very good drivers.

We went on a wonderful day tour with Shanghai Private tours to visit Suzhou and Tongli water town. Simon was our friendly and extremely knowledgeable tour guide. We had a wonderful time with Simon we felt that he brought our day to life with his knowledge of the history, his anecdotes and his fun and laugher. We bombarded simon with tons of questions and nothing was too much trouble to answer. He took us around some lovely places such as Gardens, Silk factory and The water town including a boat ride and the lunch that he ordered for us was the loveliest food we had on our entire trip. Definitely the highlight of our holiday and when we return to China again we would love to choose Simon as our tour guide if he is available. We had a wonderful adventure from Shanghai to Hangzhou with the smart and charismatic Nancy! We saw so much, learned so much and even sampled local delicacies together.
