Our 3-day tour through Suzhou, Hangzhou, and Wuzhen was amazing! I had the best time on this 3-day trip, thanks to the amazing guides, Andy and Darcy! Our tour kicked off in Suzhou, where Andy made every site fascinating. The Humble Administrator's Garden was a beautiful spot, and Andy’s explanations about its design and history were spot-on. We also loved Pingjiang Road with its historic charm, and Panmen Gate gave us a real sense of the city’s ancient roots. Hanshan Temple was peaceful, and Shantang Street was perfect for soaking in the local atmosphere.
The next day, Darcy took us to Hangzhou, where we started with a boat cruise on West Lake. The views were stunning, and Darcy’s stories about the lake’s legends made it even more magical. We visited Viewing Fish at the Flower Pond, which was incredibly tranquil, and then headed to the Meijiawu Tea Plantation to learn about Hangzhou’s tea culture. After a little shopping at Hefang Street, we capped off the day with breathtaking views from Chenghuang Pavilion.
On the final day, Darcy took us to Wuzhen, where the East Scenic Zone was absolutely picture-perfect. The museums gave us a deep dive into local history, and the visits to the Hongyuan Thai Dye House and Jiangnan Woodcarving Exhibition Hall were a unique way to see traditional crafts. The Former Residence of Mao Dun was a nice touch, and the entire trip ran so smoothly thanks to the fantastic guides and the well-organized logistics. This was a perfect way to experience the beauty and culture of eastern China!

I had an amazing time on my 3-day tour from Shanghai to Suzhou, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Andy, our guide in Shanghai, was top-notch. We started at the Shanghai Museum, where Andy explained the city’s history with such enthusiasm, making the artifacts come alive. The views from the Shanghai World Financial Center were insane! After snapping tons of photos, we explored Tianzifang – super cute with its art shops and cafes. To wrap up the day, we took a boat ride along the Huangpu River, which gave us the perfect view of The Bund and the city’s skyline at sunset.
The next day, Andy took us to Yuyuan Garden, a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city, and the Jade Buddha Temple, which was just so calm and beautiful. We had some free time to wander around Shanghai Bazaar and Nanjing Road, and I loved the energy of the shopping areas. After all that, we hopped on a train to Suzhou, where we met our guide, Darcy.
Darcy made the Suzhou part of the trip super enjoyable, starting with Lingering Garden, which was even more beautiful than I imagined. We explored Panmen Gate, and Darcy shared interesting stories about its history. Then, we headed to Hanshan Temple, a peaceful spot that gave us great views of the city. Our last stop was Pingjiang Road, where we wandered through the charming streets lined with canals. Everything was perfectly organized, and the driver kept everything running smoothly. This trip was an easy and enjoyable way to experience the best of Shanghai and Suzhou!
