My one-day trip to Hangzhou from Shanghai was fantastic, and it was all thanks to our guide, Hanah. We started the day with a peaceful boat cruise on the famous West Lake, where the beautiful scenery instantly set the tone for the day. Hanah shared fascinating stories about the area’s history, and we had plenty of time to appreciate the serene views of the lake. After that, we visited Guo’s Villa, a hidden gem with lush gardens and elegant architecture, before heading to Meijiawu for an immersive tea experience at the tea village. Hanah gave us a thorough overview of the tea-making process and even let us taste some of the freshest tea I’ve ever had.
The trip continued with a stroll along the Bamboo-Lined Path at Yunqi, where the quiet beauty of the surroundings was just stunning. Finally, we visited the Six Harmonies Pagoda, with its incredible view over the Qiantang River. Hanah’s expertise made the day even better, and her attention to detail ensured we didn’t miss a thing. The day flew by, and I left Hangzhou with a deeper appreciation for its natural beauty and rich culture. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!
