We couldn’t have asked for a better 3-day adventure in Shenzhen! Our guide, Andy, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and so full of energy. He showed us the highlights of Shenzhen, from the historic Nantou Ancient City to the breathtaking views at Dapeng Fortress. The second day was packed with fun—Melania Town’s charming European-style streets were like stepping into a fairy tale, and we had a blast at Window of the World, snapping photos in front of miniature landmarks from around the world. Splendid China Folk Village was another standout; we really appreciated the detailed miniatures of famous Chinese attractions. To top it all off, we explored the art-filled Dafen Oil Painting Village and relaxed at the beautiful Judiao Beach. The itinerary was well-organized, and every place we visited felt unique and memorable. Thank you to Andy for making this trip so special!

What an incredible 5 days in Shenzhen and Huizhou! Our journey started with a trip to Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area, and honestly, it felt like a hidden gem. The area was peaceful, with a calm, almost magical atmosphere. Walking along the lake surrounded by old temples and lush trees was the perfect way to begin our trip. Afterward, we ventured to Xunliao Bay, a beautiful beach destination. We spent some time relaxing by the water, and I couldn’t get enough of the stunning views and clear skies.
In Shenzhen, our visit to Dameisha Beach was a fun way to experience the city’s modern coastline. We enjoyed walking along the boardwalk and the cool ocean breeze. Lianhuashan Park was a favorite stop—its tranquil environment and the chance to hike up for a view of the city skyline was a nice contrast to the bustling city life. Shenzhen Bay Park was another highlight; walking along the bay and seeing all the outdoor activities was refreshing. The day at Splendid China Folk Village really topped off the trip, with its immersive cultural exhibits and miniature replicas of China’s most famous sites. The guide really made the experience come to life, explaining the history behind each exhibit. This trip was a perfect blend of relaxation, culture, and exploration.

I can’t recommend this tour enough—Your Way Holiday nailed every detail. Starting in Beijing, we loved wandering Nanluoguxiang Hutong after exploring the Temple of Heaven, savoring jianbing from a local stall (Andy’s tip!). The bullet train to Xi’an was comfortable, and Mei’s tour of the Ancient City Wall at dusk was magical. Chongqing’s chaos was thrilling: Liziba Station (train through a building!) and Hongya Cave’s neon lights were unforgettable. The Yangtze Cruise let us relax between cities, and the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon’s glass bridge was a fun adventure. Shanghai’s Zhujiajiao Water Town was a peaceful end to the trip, with Autumn guiding us to a cozy teahouse. Logistics were flawless—no stress with trains or flights. This is the best way to see China’s diversity.

This tour isn’t just a trip—it’s a rollercoaster of contrasts that left me awe-struck at every turn, thanks to Your Way Holiday’s bold itinerary design. Beijing’s guide Ryan set the bar high: he led us to a quiet section of Badaling Great Wall at sunrise, where we watched the mountains glow pink without the usual crowds, then shifted to the Forbidden City’s imperial grandeur by afternoon—his stories of emperors and rebels made the red walls feel alive.
The real adventure began in Zhangjiajie. Our local guide Lin was a former park ranger, and he took us off the tourist trails in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park—we hiked through misty valleys, crossed narrow plank roads clinging to quartz sandstone pillars, and even spotted wild macaques. Yuanjiajie’s “Avatar Mountains” were surreal, but Lin’s favorite spot (a hidden viewpoint overlooking Tianzi Mountain) was the highlight—we sat on a rock, sipping hot tea, as clouds rolled over the peaks.
Chongqing’s chaos was a thrilling contrast: Ryan (who joined us for the city tour) navigated the hilly streets like a pro, taking us to Liziba Station to watch the train pass through a building (mind-blowing!) and Hongya Cave at night, where the lit-up wooden structures looked like a fairy-tale village. The Yangtze River Cruise was the perfect buffer—we relaxed on the deck, watching gorges tower above, and the shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City added a spooky, fascinating layer of Chinese folklore.
From the Great Wall’s man-made marvels to Zhangjiajie’s natural wonders, this tour balances adventure and culture perfectly. Guides were as passionate about hiking trails as they were about history, and logistics (trains, flights, transfers) were seamless. I came home with blisters on my boots and memories that’ll last a lifetime—10/10 for anyone who wants to see China’s wild side and its rich heritage.

It’s not every day that you get to experience the wonders of China in such a seamless and enjoyable way, but Your Way Holiday made this trip one of the best we’ve ever taken. From the moment we started working with Bonnie, everything was planned to perfection. She helped us customize our itinerary, making sure we hit all the highlights we wanted to see while still leaving room for a few personal surprises. Her attention to detail was incredible—whether it was helping us adjust the pace of our trip or suggesting hidden gems we hadn’t thought of, Bonnie made sure everything was just right.
We started in Beijing, where we were greeted by Anna, our guide, who instantly made us feel at ease. She was not only knowledgeable about the historical sites like the Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven but also had a great sense of humor that made the whole experience so much fun. When we encountered a small delay with tickets to the Summer Palace, Anna handled it with ease, ensuring that we didn’t miss a beat and still had plenty of time to explore. In Xi’an, Tom took over, and his passion for the Terracotta Warriors was infectious. He walked us through the history of the site in such a way that it felt like we were stepping back in time. And when we got caught in a downpour on the Ancient City Wall, Tom quickly suggested alternative spots, ensuring that we still got the most out of our visit without missing out on anything.
Guilin was simply breathtaking, and our guide Lucy made sure we didn’t just see the Li River, we experienced it. Her knowledge of the landscape and local culture brought everything to life, and when we had a minor hotel room issue, Lucy and the driver handled it quickly and efficiently, showing just how much they cared about our comfort. The trip ended in Shanghai, where David, our guide, showed us the best of the city, from the Old French Concession to the iconic Bund. David was an absolute pleasure—informative, personable, and fun. The experience was smooth from start to finish, and we never had to worry about anything. I can’t recommend Your Way Holiday enough—Bonnie and her team truly made this an unforgettable trip.

Xi'an was a dream come true, especially with the Terracotta Warriors. Guilin’s Li River Cruise was a tranquil escape into nature, while Shanghai dazzled us with its mix of old-world charm and modern vibrancy.
