Ships larger than 87,000 tons will not get to the Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal, due to the low bridge on Huangpu River, and will have to berth at the scenic and relaxing terminal in Waigaoqiao or Wusongkou terminal. Waigaoqiao can handle four cruise ships at the same time.

Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal is located at the north Bund area in Hongkou District near downtown, with a water front of 880m, covering 41 hectares. It can accommodate three luxurious passenger liners at the time, all of which are 77,162 short tons. There are cruise lines from Shanghai to Japan and South Korea every day.
Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal (Schedule for 2019-2020)
Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal,also known as the "Baoshan Cruise Terminal", located at Baoshan District in Shanghai. First constructed in 2007 and finished in 2010 in order to serve Shanghai Expo. It is a convergent point where the Huangpu River meets the Yangtze River, adjacent to the Eastern Sea.
