The day opens on the Bund, the 1.5 kilometre riverside promenade where Shanghai kept its foreign banks and trading houses. The row of buildings runs from the 1890s to the 1930s in styles stacked end to end, Gothic, neoclassical, Baroque, and Art Deco, which is why the stretch is often called a museum of world architecture. Across the Huangpu River rises Lujiazui, the glass side of the same story, with the Jin Mao Tower at 421 metres from 1999, the World Financial Center at 492 metres from 2008, and the Shanghai Tower at 632 metres from 2015. Next comes Nanjing Road, the shopping spine of the city. Its eastern mile was closed to traffic and made a walkway in 1999, and it still holds the grand department store buildings from the 1910s and 1920s next to the neon signs and flagship shops. Traveled with our two kids aged 10 and 13 and were worried they would find Shanghai overwhelming. Our guide made it an adventure for them. Day one we did the bund and then a rickshaw ride through the old lanes which the kids loved. Day two was disneyland and she knew all the shortcuts. Our day in Shanghai was truly unforgettable, thanks to our wonderful guide, Autumn. From the moment we met her, her warmth and attentiveness were evident. She made sure everyone felt comfortable and informed, especially at The Bund, where she guided us to the best spots for photos and shared fascinating stories about the city’s history.
Autumn’s excellent service continued as we explored Nanjing Road. She ensured we had time to enjoy the area at our own pace while offering great recommendations for local snacks. At Yuyuan Garden, her detailed insights into the garden's history made the visit even more enjoyable. On Day 2, Autumn took us to the Oriental Pearl Tower, explaining the significance of the views and landmarks. Her professionalism and care made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.

Our family of three (myself, my husband, and our 10-year-old son) had an amazing time on this two-day custom tour of Shanghai. Our guide, Lily, was fantastic from the start, making the entire trip smooth and fun. We were looking for a mix of sightseeing and activities that would be interesting for both adults and kids, and Lily made sure to tailor the tour to our needs.
We started by visiting The Bund, where we were blown away by the beautiful views of the river and the city’s famous skyline. Lily explained the history behind the colonial buildings and gave us great photo opportunities. Our son loved watching the boats go by, and we all enjoyed the atmosphere.
Next, we took a walk down Nanjing Road. It was lively and full of energy, and Lily knew exactly where to stop for some local snacks. We picked up a few souvenirs along the way, and Lily helped us navigate the bustling streets easily.
Yuyuan Garden was a serene stop for us, especially after the hustle of Nanjing Road. The tranquility of the garden, combined with its beautiful architecture, was a perfect escape. Lily’s explanations about the history of the garden added to the experience, and we all enjoyed the peaceful ambiance.
On the second day, we visited the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the views from the top were incredible! Our son was fascinated by the glass floor at the top, and Lily took her time to show us around, explaining all the details of the tower’s design and history.
The Shanghai Science and Technology Museum was another highlight. It was incredibly interactive, and Lily made sure to point us toward exhibits that would keep our son engaged. It was both fun and educational, and we spent hours there.
Finally, we finished off the day at the Shanghai LEGO Discovery Center. It was an absolute hit with our son, and we were happy to relax while he had a blast building his creations. Lily made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us tips on where to grab a good meal nearby.
Overall, this private two-day tour was perfect for our family. Lily was knowledgeable, patient, and extremely accommodating, making it a trip we will never forget. Highly recommend it for families looking to explore Shanghai in a relaxed, personalized way!

We recently had a wonderful two-day family tour in Shanghai, guided by Emma, and it was perfect for our family of four with two young children. Emma did an amazing job balancing iconic sightseeing with kid-friendly activities, ensuring a memorable experience for all of us.

We just got back from a 2-day family trip to Shanghai and it was honestly perfect for us. Our guide was fantastic—super friendly, spoke great English, and was amazing with the kids. She explained everything in such a fun and clear way that even our youngest stayed interested (which is saying something!). She also helped us skip the lines and made sure we were always comfortable.
The tour company was really easy to work with—fast replies, very flexible, and they helped us customize the schedule a bit to match our kids’ energy levels. It felt very personal, not like a cookie-cutter tour.
Our driver was also great. The car was spotless, smelled fresh, and had plenty of space for all our stuff. Most importantly, he drove smoothly and safely the whole time, even through city traffic.
The itinerary was super well-planned for families—on day one we explored the Bund, went up the Shanghai Tower for amazing views, and walked through Yu Garden, which was like a fairy tale. Day two we visited Shanghai Disneyland, which was a dream come true for the kids. Everything was timed so we could enjoy a lot without feeling rushed or tired. Highly recommend this tour if you're traveling with family and want a stress-free way to see Shanghai's highlights!
