Tommy picked us up promptly from our hotel and had a fabulous ride on a bullet train and then onto Hangzhou where we had a fantastic day with a boat ride on West Lake, food in a family home saw Tea
fieldsand visited the Buddhist Temple truly worth staying an extra day to experience this culture and having a guide who was competent, caring and could speak our language highly recommend.

I went on this tour with my friends on our very first day in Shanghai (and China) and after spending 4 days there I would definitely say that this day trip to Hangzhou was the best part of it. It really help to see part of the rural China when visiting the tea village and we were amazed by the cultural shock at the Buddhist temple. Tommy is an amazing tour guide, always helpful and willing to help you to get the most of the day trip. The Impression westlake show was absolutely stunning! One of the best things I've seen in my life. I totally recommend it to anyone visiting Hangzhou. It's a must! All in all, i strongly recommend people visiting Shanghai to go on this hangzhou tour to experience something different!

We went to Hangzhou by bullet train with a fantastic guide named Tommy. The entire trip was from the minute Tommy picked up us the hotel lobby and later back to our hotel in Shanghai was so well organized I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to visit Hangzhou from Shanghai.

We had a brilliant day with Tommy visiting Hangzhou. Our journey started being picked up at our hotel in Shanghai for a quick trip to the train station. We hadn't had breakfast yet so Tommy helped us chose some typical morning options to eat while we were waiting for the train to depart. For starters, taking the bullet train was half the fun, watching the countryside flash by at high speeds and allowing for more time in Hangzhou. Highlights of the trip were viewing the lovely tea fields and tea tasting outside of town, visiting the private ancient garen and walking along the famous and beautiful West Lake at sunset. As a private tour, I was able to customize to trip to fit my timing and interests so we were able to spend more time at the temple. Tommy speaks excellent english, he was extremely knowledgeable and gave us so much wonderful history of the sites we visited and the city. The quality and value for money of our tour can only be described as excellent and we would have no problem recommending Shanghai Private Tour and Hangzhou to any interested travel to China.

We had the most awesome tour with our guide Simon. He promptly picked us up at the cruise ship terminal and it was a full day of adventures. Saw so many sites that aren't usually included in other tours. The umbrella market was amazing! Saw parts of Shanghai where people actually live. Had a phenomenal lunch of fried dumplings. Learned so much at the Confucius Temple and having the opportunity to partake in a tea ceremony. Yu Yuan Gardens Market and shopping. Seeing The Bund. So many memories of our time in Shanghai. A five star tour!

Our tour guide, Simon is very informative, accomadating and helpful. Specially to my mother who is on a wheelchair. The tour was great. We ate delicious local chinese dumplings & noodles. We visited historical and modern places that Shanghai is known for. He even took pictures and sent them to us. It was a memorable experience.

Alex gave us a great tour. Loved zhujiajiao and definitely recommend doing one of Shanghai Watertown tours. Alex did a great job of showing us Shanghai sites. For lunch, he took us to a restaurant for locals and ordered us a lovely variety of typical Shanghaiese dishes. Delicious! Alex exceeded all our requests and made us first time visitors very comfortable. Highly recommend Alex and driver, Mr Wong, and would definitely use Shanghai Private Tour again. Thank you.

Alex was the guide during our Shanghai full day tour and he definitely deserves a five star rating! As we were travelling with a toddler, we had to slightly delay our trip and this last minute request was met without any issue by Alex and the driver. During the day trip, Alex was knowledgeable, thoughtful and extremely accommodating to our requests. The four of us had a great full day tour of many diverse sites in Shanghai. We started with the Watertown tour which was an interesting historical contrast to the hustle and bustle of the downtown Shanghai area. We visited a beautiful garden, and saw an extremely interesting local market with all kinds of delicacies to try. We took a boat ride through the river and under the bridges of the town. Afterward, we headed back to the core of Shanghai. Our guide Sam, provided us with many interesting facts about the history of Shanghai and the current situation and culture in China and in Shanghai. We visited the Yu market in old town Shanghai, the Bund area along the river. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and our wonderful guide Sam!

We have just come back from a short weekend trip to Shanghai. It was our first visit to the city and we had no idea what to see especially as we were only there for two days. We booked this tour with Shanghai Private Tour based on reviews and I have to say that we were not disappointed. I feel that we have left with a good overview of what the city has to offer its tourists.

I cannot thank our guide Alex enough. To sum it up he was great - incredibly personable, knowledgable and great with my 8 year old daughter - we were a party of 3 adults and one child and all of us genuinely enjoyed the day and were not too overloaded with information or travel.
