I can honestly say this 5-day tour of Beijing was an experience I’ll never forget. It was packed with history, culture, and moments that felt truly immersive. We began our adventure by strolling through the Beijing Hutongs, where our guide gave us a deep dive into Beijing’s traditional architecture and how people still live in these ancient courtyard homes. It was fascinating to learn about local life, and the Siheyuan courtyard homes were a real treat.

The Peking Opera was something I’ve always wanted to see, and it did not disappoint! The colorful costumes, beautiful music, and incredible performances transported us into a world of traditional Chinese theatre. Then we explored the Forbidden City, where the sheer size and grandeur were overwhelming. Standing in Tiananmen Square felt surreal, knowing its historical importance. Later, we visited the Temple of Heaven and even participated in a Tai Chi session, which was a peaceful and memorable experience.

On Day 3, we explored more of Beijing’s landmarks—Yonghe Palace, a Buddhist temple, was a beautiful place to wander through, and Qianmen Street was a great place for some local snacks and shopping. The highlight on Day 4 was the Mutianyu Great Wall, which was absolutely breathtaking. After a hike, we relaxed and took in the view before heading to Dingling Tomb and the iconic Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, a reminder of the 2008 Olympics.

The final day in the Summer Palace was the perfect way to conclude the trip. With beautiful lakes, gardens, and temples, the Summer Palace was a peaceful escape from the city’s bustle. Throughout the entire trip, I felt well taken care of, and the tour was expertly organized. Each day had a perfect mix of sightseeing, learning, and relaxation, and I left Beijing with unforgettable memories.
