I had the best time on this 3-day trip, thanks to the amazing guides, Andy and Darcy! Our tour kicked off in Suzhou, where Andy made every site fascinating. The Humble Administrator's Garden was a beautiful spot, and Andy’s explanations about its design and history were spot-on. We also loved Pingjiang Road with its historic charm, and Panmen Gate gave us a real sense of the city’s ancient roots. Hanshan Temple was peaceful, and Shantang Street was perfect for soaking in the local atmosphere.
The next day, Darcy took us to Hangzhou, where we started with a boat cruise on West Lake. The views were stunning, and Darcy’s stories about the lake’s legends made it even more magical. We visited Viewing Fish at the Flower Pond, which was incredibly tranquil, and then headed to the Meijiawu Tea Plantation to learn about Hangzhou’s tea culture. After a little shopping at Hefang Street, we capped off the day with breathtaking views from Chenghuang Pavilion.
On the final day, Darcy took us to Wuzhen, where the East Scenic Zone was absolutely picture-perfect. The museums gave us a deep dive into local history, and the visits to the Hongyuan Thai Dye House and Jiangnan Woodcarving Exhibition Hall were a unique way to see traditional crafts. The Former Residence of Mao Dun was a nice touch, and the entire trip ran so smoothly thanks to the fantastic guides and the well-organized logistics. This was a perfect way to experience the beauty and culture of eastern China!
