This day trip from Shanghai to Suzhou and Tongli Ancient Town was a wonderful mix of history, culture, and natural beauty. We started with the tranquil Master of the Nets Garden, where the classical design and serene atmosphere were simply captivating. After a stroll through the garden, we visited Shantang Street, a charming area with its traditional architecture and lovely canal views. In Tongli, the highlight was Tuisi Garden, known for its elegant layout, followed by a walk across the iconic Three Bridges, which offered picturesque views of the water. We also explored Chongben and Jiayin Halls, learning about their historical significance, before taking a scenic boat ride along the town’s canals. Our guide was insightful and friendly, making the day even more enjoyable, while the driver ensured everything ran smoothly. It was a perfect way to experience the beauty and heritage of both Suzhou and Tongli in just one day!
