My family and I had the most enchanting evening with our guide Andy on the Huangpu River Night Cruise in Shanghai. The experience was nothing short of spectacular, with the iconic skyline of Shanghai illuminated against the night sky. We boarded the boat from a well-organized pier, and Andy, who was warm and professional, made sure we were comfortable the entire time.

From the very start, Andy's enthusiasm was contagious. He shared fascinating insights about the landmarks along the river, like the Bund and the modern skyscrapers of Lujiazui, while making sure we had the best possible views. His knowledge of the city’s history and development was impressive, and he answered all our questions with ease. His excellent command of English made it easy to engage with him and learn more about Shanghai's transformation into a global city.

The self-service buffet dinner on board was a highlight. There was a wide variety of local and international dishes, all freshly prepared, and the staff were attentive and quick to clear the tables. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the fresh seafood. As we ate, the city’s skyline seemed to transform under the lights, and Andy pointed out key landmarks like the Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Tower, and Shanghai Tower.

The entire atmosphere was just so relaxing. The cool breeze, the glittering lights of the buildings reflecting on the river, and the lively yet peaceful ambiance made the cruise one of the best ways to appreciate Shanghai. Andy even helped us take family photos with the stunning skyline in the background.

We also want to praise the driver who took us from our hotel to the pier. He was punctual, friendly, and ensured that we got to the boat in a timely manner, avoiding the rush hour traffic. Overall, it was a seamless experience, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience Shanghai from a different perspective.
