We had an amazing day exploring Shanghai with our guide, Lily. This one-day tour was the perfect balance of history, culture, and relaxation. We started at Zhujiajiao, an ancient water town just outside the city. Lily guided us through the winding canals and charming streets, and her stories brought the town’s history to life. It was such a peaceful contrast to the city’s hustle and bustle.

Afterward, we visited The Bund, where we admired the contrast between the old colonial buildings and the modern skyline of Pudong. Lily made sure we got the best views and explained the historical significance of the buildings. Our final stop was Yuyuan Garden, a beautifully designed traditional Chinese garden. Lily’s insights into its design and the symbolism behind the plants and structures were enlightening, and we enjoyed some local snacks at the nearby bazaar.
