I recently took a day trip from Shanghai to Suzhou, and it was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Lily, was friendly and knowledgeable, offering just the right amount of information.

We began at Lingering Garden, where the peaceful ponds and intricate design were truly beautiful. Lily explained its symbolism, which added depth to the visit. Next, we explored Panmen Gate, a fascinating historical site that contrasted nicely with the modern city. After a delicious lunch, we visited Hanshan Temple, where the calm atmosphere and Lily’s stories about its poetic ties were memorable. We finished with a leisurely stroll down Shantang Street, a charming canal-side area full of local shops.

Overall, it was a great mix of culture, history, and relaxation, and Lily made everything seamless. Highly recommend a day trip to Suzhou if you're in Shanghai!
