This 2-day, 1-night Hangzhou tour from Shanghai exceeded our expectations, thanks to the company’s flexibility and focus on genuine experiences. When we booked, we asked to prioritize nature over shopping and start each day later (we’re not early risers), and they adjusted the itinerary without hesitation—no pushback, just a confirmation email within an hour.

The guide was a local expert with a passion for Hangzhou’s history. At West Lake, she took us to a quiet pier instead of the crowded main areas, sharing stories about the lake’s myths while we watched locals fish. At Lingyin Temple, she explained the significance of the Buddha statues in simple, engaging terms, and even helped us pick out meaningful souvenirs (like hand-painted fans) at a small shop.

The driver and car were top-notch: the vehicle was clean and spacious, and he drove smoothly, with plenty of stops for photos. He even suggested a hidden trail in Meijiawu Tea Village that offered stunning views of the tea plantations—far better than the busy main path.
