My wife and I (both 75) have always wanted to visit Beijing, but we were worried about the pace and logistics—until we booked this 5-day tour from Shanghai. The driver was equally wonderful: the car was clean, spacious, and easy to get into with our wheelchair. He drove slowly and smoothly, avoiding potholes, and always opened the doors for us. He even remembered our favorite bottled water and had it ready each day.

The itinerary was tailored perfectly for seniors: we visited all the must-sees (Summer Palace, Forbidden City, Great Wall, Tiananmen Square) but with plenty of breaks and no long walks. Meals were at quiet restaurants with soft, easy-to-chew food, and afternoons often included downtime at the hotel. On the Great Wall day, they arranged a cable car both ways, so we didn’t have to climb—we just enjoyed the views.
