My partner and I (both in our 70s) wanted to check Beijing’s iconic sites off our bucket list but didn’t want the stress of planning a day trip from Shanghai—and this tour was exactly what we needed. The company was incredibly attentive: they confirmed all sites had wheelchair access (we use a foldable one) and arranged for a driver who could help with loading it.

Our guide was warm and considerate, with a gentle pace that suited us. At Tiananmen Square, he walked slowly and pointed out landmarks from a distance when crowds were thick; at the Forbidden City, he led us through the least crowded entrances and found places to sit whenever we needed. He explained the history in simple, interesting terms, never making us feel like we were holding things up.

The driver was a true professional: the car was clean, spacious, and easy to get into with our wheelchair. He drove smoothly, avoided bumpy roads, and always got out to help us with our bags. He even adjusted the air conditioning to our preferred temperature.

The itinerary was perfect for seniors: we visited the most important sites without overdoing it, and the lunch stop was at a quiet restaurant with comfortable seating and soft food options. There was no rushing, and the guide checked in on us regularly to make sure we were okay.

We never thought a one-day Beijing trip from Shanghai would be so manageable—or enjoyable. Thanks to the great team, we got to see the sights we’d dreamed of without any stress. We can’t recommend this tour enough for fellow seniors!
