Our 8-day trip to Shanghai, Xi 'an and Beijing was a perfect blend of history, culture and family fun.
The tour guides in every city are all excellent - their profound knowledge brings every scenic spot to life. Especially the tour guide in Beijing, she turned the halls of the Forbidden City into stories rather than just ruins. She is also very flexible. She would stop to satisfy the curiosity of our 7-year-old child or adjust her pace for grandma.
Drivers in every city are equally impressive: punctual, skilled, driving spotless and spacious vehicles.
The trip was very successful. Nanjing Road in Shanghai (perfect for children's snacks) and the vibrant gardens of Yu Garden strike a balance between modernity and tradition. The Muslim quarter in Xi 'an (Amazing street food!)" It feels amazing to see the awe-inspiring Terracotta Army. The cruise ships in the Summer Palace in Beijing and the echo Wall of the Temple of Heaven add a fun atmosphere.
Family-friendly touches are everywhere: gentle schedules, accessible paths at all stations, and meal options for picky eaters. Whether chasing pigeons at Tiananmen Square or savoring "sugar-coated haws on a stick" in Xi 'an, I feel very happy every day and not tired at all.
