Day 7 Chengdu Departure

Day 1 Shanghai-Chengdu

Pick you up from your hotel in Shanghai (based on your requirement), then escorts you to the Shanghai international airport for your flight to Chengdu (about 10 hours’ flight).

Upon arrival, you will find a welcome sign "Chengdu Private Tour" at the exit. Then transfer to your hotel. What you need to do is sitting back and relaxing in the car. Your guide will help you check in the hotel in the downtown Chengdu and provide information you need.

Optional Activity: Try to enjoy an authentic Sichuan Cuisine dinner at a local restaurant. 

Day 2 Chengdu–Mt.Emei

In the morning, drive you to Mt.Emei. Upon arrival, first take a eco-car in the Scenic Area to Leidongpin and hiking to Jieyin Hall, to take a cable car up to the Golden Summit (altitude: 3077 m). At the highest peak of the mountain, you will be amazed by the awe-inspiring view of Huazang Temple and witness the breathtaking sea of clouds if it’s sunny.

Your lunch will be arranged at the local restaurant popular with the local people to stay away from the tourists' meals. 

Then go down to Wannian Temple parking lot by car. Take a cable car up to Wannian Temple at the middle of the mountain. Wannian Temple is a Buddhist temple located at the foot of Camel Mountain Range of Mount Emei, in Emeishan City, Sichuan, China. It is one of the six earliest Buddhist temples on Mount Emei. The temple is situated at the foot of Camel Mountain Range, facing the Daping Temple, Niuxin Temple, Shisun Summit and Bomeng Summit in the front. Wannian Temple is known not only for the bronze statue of Samantabhadra, but also for the Beamless Brick Hall.

The final stop is Baoguo Temple, the largest temple on Mt.Emei.

At last take a cable car down, and transfer to your hotel in Emeishan downtown.

Day 3 Mt.Emei-Leshan-Zigong

In the morning, drive about 1 hours to Leshan Giant Buddha. Upon arrival, you will watch the wonder of sleeping Buddha, which explained the saying of ‘ Buddha is the hill and the hill is a Buddha ‘. And then we will walk up and down along the zigzagging mountain trails along the Giant Buddha, from it's head to shoulder, and from leg to foot. In front of the Buddha is the good view of the joint of Minjiang River, Dadu River and Qingyi River. 

You will be able to climb up the Buddha to have a close-up look. To see more, you may walk down the narrow plank all the way to the feet of the Buddha, to discover you are only as tall as one of its toes. 

Then, take a cruise on the Minjiang River and enjoy the beautiful scene between the mountains and the water.

Your lunch will be arranged at the local restaurant popular with the local people to stay away from the tourists' meals. 

Continue your tour to Zigong city and take an excursion to the Grand Buddha in Rongxian County which towers 36.67m, the 2nd largest Buddha statue in China only next to the Leshan Buddha.

At last, drive to Zigong downtown, check in the hotel. Stay overnight in Zigong.

Day 4 Zigong-Lizhuang-Shunanzhuhai

After breakfast, drive you to visit Zigong Dinosaur Museum,  It covers 25,000 square meters (about 17 acres), which makes it the biggest in southeast China. It enjoys the same excellent reputation as the American National and Canadian Dinosaur Parks, presently affording a large-scale preserved dinosaur fossil burial site.

Then, head to the Salt Museum, Zigong is the most prosperous city in South of Chengdu, and it used to be the most important city producing well salt in China. Although China does not rely on well salt anymore today, you still have chance to learn about the traditional way of making salt in the Salt Museum.

Your lunch will be arranged at the local restaurant popular with the local people to stay away from the tourists' meals.

Continue your tour to Shunan Zhuhai (Bamboo Sea) National Park. One of the most beautiful land of happiness given by the nature, with many cultural relics and historic sites screened by green bamboo, is a fresh and clear back garden of Yibin City. A tour to the beautiful and elegant Bamboo Sea is a tour to the splendid bamboo culture of long history, a tour more mysterious and interesting, far from the mortal world.

If the time permit, you will be taken to the Lizhuang Old Town, Lizhuang is a historic town in Yibin, was first established 1,800 years ago. Contains numerous preserved old streets and historic structure, including palaces and temples in classical styles, traditional courtyards, and narrow streets paved with blue stones. Lizhuang also contains many old temples and ancestral halls.

At last, drive to your hotel in Shunanzhuhai.

Day 5 Shunanzhuhai

Today, we will spend a whole day enjoying the beautiful bamboo sea. The following attractions you will visit today: Wangyou Valley, Jiutian Waterfall, Bamboo Museum, Tianbao Stronghold (Hamlet), Qinglong Lake.

Afterwards, drive you back to your hotel in Shunanzhuhai.

Day 6 Shunanzhuhai-Xinwen-Chengdu

After breakfast, transfer to Xinwen County to visit Shihaidongxiang, the Stone Forest including the large funnel, and Tianquan Cave etc.. 

Returning to Chengdu in the afternoon. Stay overnight in Chengdu.

Day 7 Chengdu Departure

Today is free on your own until our driver transfer you to the Chengdu airport (based on your requirement). You 7-day Sichuan tour from Shanghai comes to the ends.
