Your first stop is The Bund. The Bund is a waterfront area in central Shanghai. Then, drive you to the Shanghai Museum, one of China’s most esteemed and acclaimed museums. The Shanghai Museum houses a comprehensive collection that perfectly showcases the Middle Kingdom’s millennia old history. Spread over five floors, Covers most of the major categories of Chinese art with a collection of 12, 300 pieces in 21 categories of valuable cultural relics, including some donations from private collectors. Adjacent to the garden is the Yuyuan Bazaar, Originally there was just a temple (the City God Temple) that was built in the 15th Century. Today the area is also home to a lively market that specializes in traditional Chinese arts and crafts. You can pick some antiques, silk fans, bamboo articles, shell carvings, paintings, or you try some Shanghai Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings), vegetarian buns, chicken soup to experience a little of the Shanghai culture.

Afterwards, head to the Shanghai Confucian Temple, Shanghai Confucian Temple is the only ancient architectural complex in downtown Shanghai, which is in memory of China’s outstanding thinker, educator, and originator of Confucius culture, Confucius. Confucius established schools teaching his remarkable Confucius culture which had positive effect on philosophy, politics, ethics, education and politics. Confucius’ theory made great contribution to ancient China’s development of culture and civilization.

Continue your tour to Tianzifang in Taikang Road. It has become an amazing cluster of the trendy and cultural spots. It is an arts and crafts enclave that has developed from a renovated residential area in the French Concession area of Shanghai, China. It comprises a neighborhood of labyrinthine alleyways off Taikang Road, and is therefore also referred to as Taikang Road or Taikang Lu. Tianzifang is known for small craft stores, coffee shops, trendy art studios and narrow alleys. It has become a popular tourist destination in Shanghai, and an example of preservation of local Shikumen architecture, with some similarities to Xintiandi.

Your final stop is Jade Buddha Temple: The Jade Buddha Temple, also known as the Shanghai Yufo Temple, is one of the most important Buddhist temples in Shanghai, China. The Jade Buddha Temple was founded in 1882 by Abbot Hui Gen during the reign of Emperor Guang Xu (1875-1908) of the Qing Dynasty and burned down after having been occupied during the 1911 revolution. The temple takes its name from the original two white jade Buddha statues that abbot Hui Gen brought with him from Burma—a sitting statue about 1.95 m (almost 6 1/2 ft) in height and a smaller reclining Buddha.

After breakfast, meet your guide at your hotel lobby. Drive you to the popular landmark of Shanghai, Nanjing Road: When people mention Shanghai's Nanjing Road, they're probably talking about East Nanjing Road, a pedestrian shopping street running for blocks between the northeast corner of People's Square and the Bund. Nanjing Road, 5.5 km in full length, enjoys the reputation as China No. 1 commercial center. It was the earliest commercial street in Shanghai since the city opened to the outside world.

Then, you'll be transferred to the Old French Concession, listen as your guide sets the historical scene and directs your attention to cobbled streets and wrought-iron railings reminiscent of 19th-century Paris. Later on, take Boat cruise on the Huangpu River, Sailing down the river, along the way you can enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides including such sights as the Yangpu Bridge, the Nanpu Bridge, and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. In addition, the varied western architecture on the west bank of the Huangpu River and the towering modern buildings on the east bank present a spectacular contrast, increasing the beauty and magnificence of the river.

In the afternoon, head to the Pudong New Area, lying in the east of Shanghai and at the east edge of the Yangtze River Delta, Pudong New Area (hereafter referred to as Pudong) is located at the estuary of the Yangtze River on the west side of the Pacific Ocean, connecting both Nanhui District and Minhang District in the south and looking on to the other side of the river where lie the districts of Xuhui, Luwan, Huangpu, Hongkou, Yangpu and Baoshan both in the north and west of Shanghai.

The last stop is Shanghai Oriental TV TowerIt was designed by Jiang Huan Cheng of the Shanghai Modern Architectural Design Co. Ltd. Construction began in 1991 and the tower was completed in 1995. At 468 m (1,535 feet) high, it was the tallest structure in China from 1994–2007, when it was surpassed by the Shanghai World Financial Center. The Oriental Pearl Tower belongs to the World Federation of Great Towers.

Today, you'll visit your exciting tour to Zhujiajiao water town. It takes around 40 minutes for one way.

Upon arrival, the first tourism spot is Kezhi Garden, Kezhi garden is also called "Ma family garden" because its owner's surname is ma. It was built in 1912, took 15 years, and spent 300000 silver dollars in total. The whole garden is divided into three areas: hall, rockery and garden. When you walk into the garden, you will feel the richness of the garden owner, at the same time, you can see the handwriting left by many literati.

Next, you will visit Great Qing Post Office. Founded in 1892, it is the first post office in eastern China. Here you can not only learn about the history of China Post, but also see all kinds of very interesting things, such as strange beliefs, stamps with a sense of age.

After lunch, you will move on to visit the Fangsheng Bridge, it is the longest, largest and tallest stone bridge, with five openings both in Zhujiajiao and in the Shanghai region. This bridge was built in 1571. On the bridge stands a stone tablet named Dragon Gate Stone, which is engraved with 8 coiling dragons encircling a shining pearl. On top of the bridge are 4 lifelike stone lions.

Our family, including two children (age 5 and 8), myself and husband, and both sets of grandparents are from Singapore, we toured Shanghai with Shanghai Private Tour in Jan.
